Langtang Valley
The traditional Tamang villages-heavily influenced with Tibetan Buddhism , the Kyanjin Gompa in Langtang valley , the exceptional mountain view , the glaciers and Yak herds in alpine meadows are the highlights of Langtang trekking. If you are planning a summer trek to view alpine wild flowers like primula, poppy, iries etc , Langtang is the ideal trek. Simillarly the the serene Gosainkunda lake and the Janaipurnima festival in the lake is quite amazing to watch the Shamans of Langtang region practice their art .
From here we spend four days hiking up through this beautiful alpine valley to Kyangjin where we rest for a day for some exploration of the high mountains and glacial systems. We track back for three days before taking a different route back to Dunche and onwards to Kathmandu. This trek is ideal for people not wishing to trek over the Laurebina pass 4610 mtrs.
